How is the (uber short) prologue?- Fantasy?

As a prologue (or beginning of the story), it seems rather uninteresting. Sometimes, when I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy a particular book, I like to read the first few pages first. I don't think this excerpt is intriguing enough to draw in readers. More details would have helped, and definitely give us more on what the king was feeling- was he horrified or shocked by this news?
