I need help with craigslist and paypal.?

i am selling a 1200 TV on craigslist...this person is not local. but a couple states over. On my ad on craigslist i am selling the TV..cash or paypal only. I got an email saying this person is interested and just wants my paypal email address. I told him i was gonna watch the money go in the acct first. I have every intention of selling this TV...but then i said i would like 3-5 days to make sure the money clears and transfers to my bank acct first. he agreed. He is just asking for my paypal email address to transfer the money. I have not given it to him. I am not aware of any scams since i am new to do..and want to do it right. I plan on transferring the money to my checking acct...and then he will come get the TV...the money has cleared and untouchable at that point correct? is this all a scam. does anyone know if paypal is legit for this? I want to get a few opinions before going ahead and have his shipping company come and get this TV after money has cleared...thats all..
